Verse of the Week
“To Him that made great lights, for His mercy endureth forever; the sun to rule by day, for His mercy endureth forever; the moon and stars to rule by night, for His mercy endureth forever.”

Quote of the Week

There was much anticipation for some time regarding the total eclipse that happened this past Monday. Some traveled for miles to get the best view, and what a view it was! For a matter of a few minutes, it appeared that the sun had gone down in midafternoon. It was indeed something to behold, but so many who beheld this once-in-a lifetime phenomenon failed to behold the Creator who placed the sun, the moon and the stars in their place during the six days of creation. So many of our “brightest” scientists are the “blindest” among us–they fail to see the One behind it all! In fact, so many are professed atheists, and it is “the fool who hath said in his heart that there is no God” (Psalm 14:1). Some of our members made the trip to Ohio to be in the pathway where the total eclipse of the sun would happen, and a gorgeous blue sky provided the backdrop for what they saw. A picture taken by one of the group at the time of the total eclipse was sent to our pastors with these words, “The heavens declare the glory of God!” Indeed, it is God who appointed the moon for seasons, and the sun knows his going down (Psalm 104:19)! We worship “the God of wonders beyond our galaxy”!!!!!
